A progression of a twi'lik card made by mMathab during a live drawing webcast (thanks mat!).

I've been drawing lots but neglecting to format picture to upload here (sorry!). Recent stuff I've worked on includes 56 cards for Archie/March of Dimes sketchcard set which landed on June 15th (sold out from 5finity), and 18 pack inserted sketchcards for Sad Littles "Legends & Lore", which goes on sale August 1st, and limited to 1000 sets.

Soon I'll be working on new convention stock and ebay auctions (including a couple of Legends & Lore returns).

Three multi-card commissions from the popular series Supernatural. I can't really claim to be a fan myself, but I admit they have fantastic taste in their soundtrack.

The first round of cards for Steve's March of Dimes fundraiser have been put up on ebay, including Jacob Black by yours truly. The matching Alice Cullen and a Shadowcat will be following in the near future, as more cards are listed.

Also check out the Archie official sketch card set, with proceeds going to March of Dimes.

If you're Canadian and like the idea but not into donating to American based charities, please consider tossing a donation towards the IWK Health Centre, another establishment quite near and dear to my heart.

And sometimes I draw for gits and shiggles. I got on a DC kick, I expect the next time I'll swing back to Marvel's merry band of mutants, those seem to be my two extremes.

ACEO - Maia Roh & Queen Anthai

It is a little known fact that Dayna, lovely co-host of the [info]made_of_fail_pc podcast (which you should all go listen to), wrote 2 1/2 novels (which you should all go read... if she lets you). Sketches of her characters are some of my earliest work still found online (circa 2000!), and I got a soft spot for them still.

This is Maia Roh (left) and Queen Anthai (right) of 7Stars. Ink, prismacolor marker, white deleter ink and some white sketch pencil on 2.5 x 3.5 inch cards.

I kinda prefer Rina Logan as the "daughter of Wolverine", but dang is Laura an interesting girl all on her own. Wish I'd found the opportunity to draw her sooner.

I was asked for a card of Dexter, and ended up doing two. This is my favorite of the pair... no doubt influenced by my fetish for things with wings. >.>

ACEO - Liz, Greta & Dot Knight

I killed the second scanner within 4 months, and broke down and bought a new one. I hate calibrating scanners with a passion, and software that thinks it's smarter than me. Hopefully this looks close to okay.

Liz, Greta and Dot Knight are sort of the reverse-Bailey of the Colt-verse, three bounty hunting sisters instead of two bounty hunting brothers and a third in training. Sometimes I pretend they'll have their own spinoff, till then they're lucky they got art at all.

In the continuing attempt to update with something every other day:

From the recent Twilight movie, Alice Cullen and Jacob Black. My favorite parts short of vampire baseball (!!!).

A little bit older... a pair of commissions for a Johnny Depp fan of (Captain!!) Jack Sparrow and Sweeney Todd. I hope to make more of a series of this in the future, up to and including 21 Jumpstreet.

I've mostly been working on ACEO cards recently, to take with me to Toronto. Unfortunately I'm even worse at scanning and posting them than anything else I work on (note huge jump in numbers from the last set posted).

I like to play this game called "name a char!" where I bother people to name a character which I then draw. Sergio, Ty and Noah from the above scan are a result of that.

l-r Jean Grey, Polaris, Mystique, Gambit, Psylocke, Storm, Typhoid Mary, Deathbird.

On the last day of the Paradise Comicon in Toronto, I met this fantastically enthusiastic lady who has a passion for the X-men's Rogue and for sketchcards (or ACEO - Art Cards, Editions & Originals). She handed me a few blanks she cut herself, and later commissioned art for the ones I had left on returning home (two Rogues and the Deathbird above). Since then I admit to have a little bit of an addiction which so far everyone seems to want to encourage >_>;

Ink & prismacolor markers, with a lil pencil on Mystique & Psylocke.
