A preview panel from Colt: Old Soliders, one of the projects I've been working on for GravityShift redesign. Inked with sharpies and ballpoint pen.
I'll be at Fanexpo later this week, at table A175. Feel free to stop by and see some of the new convention art!

I killed the second scanner within 4 months, and broke down and bought a new one. I hate calibrating scanners with a passion, and software that thinks it's smarter than me. Hopefully this looks close to okay.
Liz, Greta and Dot Knight are sort of the reverse-Bailey of the Colt-verse, three bounty hunting sisters instead of two bounty hunting brothers and a third in training. Sometimes I pretend they'll have their own spinoff, till then they're lucky they got art at all.
Ink, prismacolor marker and some deleter white ink on 2.5x3.5 inch cards.

From CK's Sketchbook #4 (forthcoming... sometime... hopefully soon). Bounty Hunter John Halstead with his charmingly violent daughter Julia, with text from "God's Gonna Cut You Down", Johnny Cash version. Ballpoint pen in sketchbook.

Later today brings Animedia Fest 2009 - I will be there Thursday and Friday, with the probability of not getting home till it's over. Then back to commissions and e-mail, apologies to those I didn't manage to contact before this comm blackout, y'all are not far from my thoughts.

I like to play this game called "name a char!" where I bother people to name a character which I then draw. Sergio, Ty and Noah from the above scan are a result of that.
| sketchcards wave 5 l-r Blue Beetle, Rogue, Black Canary, She Hulk, Supergirl, Scarlet Witch, Storm (commission), Cheetara (commission) |
I swear I'm working on some real sized art too.
